It is this property of wood that makes it popular even in our technological age.
SHRINKING OF A WOODEN HOUSE
Nowadays, houses from a timber of different sections are more often built, characterized by natural humidity. During construction, it is important to remember that over time the tree will “soot”, since the distance between the annual rings decreases. During the period of shrinkage, no factors should affect the wooden house, otherwise the structure of the structure may occur. Not only the walls, but also other wooden elements, including the lining and the sexual board are held on this process.
The shrinkage takes about a year, after which you can board the cracks, insulate and sheathe the house with finishing material. The insulation is located between the casing and the bar wall, as well as the vapor barrier membrane that protect the house from the effects of atmospheric phenomena.
External decoration of a wooden house
For outdoor finishing, you use siding, lining, blockhaus or tile that imitates brick or stone. Let’s say a few words about them.
One of the most affordable finishing materials includes siding. It not only performs a decorative function, but also protects the walls from atmospheric precipitation and wind. A wide range of colors, different textures, combination with corner elements, architraves and other details can make the house unique and unrepeatable.
The lining is a grooved board planed on both sides. Clapboard cladding can be done in several ways, but for exterior cladding, horizontal overlap cladding is recommended to prevent rain and snow from getting into the grooves. Each homeowner can varnish or paint the exterior cladding in any color they wish.
Blockhouse is a relatively new type of lining, the outer surface of which imitates the texture of a log. The blockhouse has a tenon-groove connection, which greatly facilitates the installation process. Grooves on the inside improve ventilation and relieve tension.
For interior cladding, it is recommended to use drywall, lining or blockhouse.
